Originally from Toronto, Canada, she graduated from the University of Western Canada’s dental school. She started her orthodontic journey in 2008 treating kids with functional appliances and early interceptive orthodontics, and has grown in her practice ever since. In 2017 she took the deep dive into Sleep Medicine and is a Diplomate of the AADSM. After buying her first iTero in 2020, her life and career took a dramatic turn when she embraced the Align Digital Platform and a digital workflow. Dr. Andrea is a Diamond Plus Invisalign provider out of a single 6 operatory location. She has served as a member of the Align GP Advisory Board for the last 2 years. Earlier this year – she helped launch the Invisalign Palatal Expander to general dentists. Dr. Merlin Ohmer with the DINKs
Send us Fan Mail Dr. Ohmer, a native of Thibodaux, LA, graduated from Nicholls State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry. He then earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1979 from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He spent the next several years serving in the United States Army, National Guard AND National Guard, until his military retirement in 2016. Dr. Ohmer, a respected leader in the dental community, has been President of the Florida Academy of General Dentistry, AGD Regional Director, Region 20, AGD Trustee, Region 20 and is newly installed as the AGD President. He has served on many committees related to Continuing Education and Governance with the Academy of General Dentistry at the National level.
